Gaming as a way to teach boys

 As the mother of four sons I have long believed that our education system is failing especially our boys. I have also believed that gaming is the ideal way to re-engage boys. Rather than sending them on a mindless quest why not get them to solve mathematical or historical problems? I am posting the following TED talk which holds the point of view that gaming can reach boys. I find the talk a bit defensive but its main point is valid.
